Babbles September 21 - Noember 15
First let me start off by saying that Cassie's wedding yesterday afternoon was absolutely gorgeous!!! She was stunning in her simple but classic white gown (of course Cassie would look fabulous in a potato sack!!!) Even though it rained some yesterday morning, the sun came out and the afternoon was beautiful!!! We wish her and Josh all the happiness in the world!! Congratulations!!!
On a related note, a big thank you to Joy and Ron. They loaded the horses in the trailer and Ron pulled it to Oakfield so that Linda, Kenzie and I could go to the wedding. And speaking of Oakfiled....

This afternoon a bunch of us are going to see the World Famous Lippazaner Stallions at the Oman Arena. So I am sure we will enjoy that!!! Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Rachel had 2nd in Youth Halter Showmanship and 3rd in Youth Flags.
oops, sorry - I had it correct on the paper, so why I didn't get it typed in correctly is beyond me!!! I would say it was a lack of sleep, but we really got home pretty early for Oakfield! So I don't have a good excuse!
Hey Linda! I heard you were on the news this morning. I didn't see it, but someone told me about it.
Have you had your sign vandalized more than the one time?! Someone stole one side of ours a week or two ago.
Good luck getting extra patrol out your way. The Gibson county Sherrif's deputy that came out to our place told us they would TRY to get out more often, but I haven't seen anyone yet. I think we're going to be on our own.
I haven't seen any posting going on in a while. I hope everything's going good over at your place.
I am a little late getting the results from Henry posted - sorry! I didn't even turn on this computer yesterday! Our last Henry show went out with bang!

So it was 30 ribbons on the night! I am not totally sure how the class high point awards ended up, but we should have a few year end placings. The awards banquet will be the first Saturday night in December, so we will certainly get back to everyone about the year ended up.
This weekend we have the Gibson County Show. It will actually be a day show, so our late nights are over until next spring! I hope everyone is having a great week! It sure has been quiet in here lately....
Rachel ended up with 202 points overall. She should be close to the high point award. I believe she is 2nd in Buckaroo Pleasure, Pee Wee Poles, Pee Wee Barrels, Youth Flags and Open Flags.
Marley should have 1st in both Youth Flags and Open Flags.
That is fabulous!!! Alison should be maybe 2nd in youth barrels? And maybe 2nd in speed? Kenzie is probably 3rd in youth flags and open flags - don't know if they give awards for 3rd or not! And she is probably 5th in buckaroo pleasure, but I am pretty sure they don't go that far down. But overall, I would say that it was a pretty successful show season for our crew!! And it should onyl get better and better year after year!
Just wanted to shout out to remind everyone that the Gibson County Horse Show this weekend starts at 2 pm, not 1 pm. Suanna has been emailing to make us aware since the website had 2 pm listed for awhile. So, everyone, let's synchronize our watches and be there and enjoy the extra hour to get ready.
Gibson County Saddle Club yesterday - show started at 2, so we thought we might get out a little early... Kenzie and I had to leave right after she ran in pee wee barrels, and it was already 8:30!!! So it was a long day! I obviously didn't get the results for those barrel classes, and Joy wrote down everyone's times, so I'll have to post those later!! But what I do have....
Pony Halter - 1st Maxkenzie
Western Halter - 1st Annette, 5th Lyssie
Leadline - 2nd David Saule (son of our new English instructorm Ms Kate!!)
PeeWee Walk-Trot - 1st Lyssie, 2nd Rachel G, 4th Mallory Chute
Youth Walk-Trot - 5th Rachel Carrington
Adult Walk-Trot - 3rd Annette
PeeWee Western Pleasure - 1st Rachel G, @nd Mallory, 4th Linda
Youth Western Pleasure - 4th Rachel C
Adult WP - 2nd Annette, 5th LeeAnn
PeeWee Western Horsemanship - 2nd Rachel, 3rd Mallory, 4th Linda
Youth WH - 2nd Rachel C
Adult WH - 1st Annette, 4th LeeAnn
PeeWee Hunt Seat - 2nd Rachel, 3rd Lyssie, 4th Linda
PeeWee English Equitation - 1st Lyssie, 3rd Rachel, 4th Linda
PeeWee Poles - 2nd Rachel
Adult Poles - Annette 4th
PeeWee Flags - 3rd Linda
Youth Speed 2nd Justin Reese
Pony Barrels - 4th Mackenzie
And here is where I made a quick exit!! So I will get back to you on the last results! If my estimate is right, unless something way off happens at the last show, little Linda pretty well locked up her year end high point in peewee barrels and Kenzie should have pony halter. And I think Annette has all the western events locked up (walk trot, western pleasure, western equitation) in the adult classes. Everything else is really up in the air. But our kids have really worked hard this season and I am proud to say that all of the regular show-goers have placed consistently in their classes and these classes have been HUGE - those pee wee classes have had anywhere from 12 to 19 in them! So it is a huge accomplishment to even place at all!!! And to be in the running for high point in those classes is really amazing. So no matter where the final high point goes, I am proud to say that our Back 9 Crew has been awesome this season!!!
oops - there are a million typos in that post - I could go back and fix them... nah - just look over them!!!
I must be really tired because I didn't notice any errors~ Congrats to everyone!
Then I guess you haven't met my daughter maXenzie... or saw that there is a new place between 1st and 3rd called @nd... oh well! And for the record.. I think Annette and I are tied for 1st in walk -trot... forget the fact that it is only because she missed a show!! I told her that Belle might pull a Tonya Harding and knock Koda in the leg with a crow bar so that we can win!!! That would be the only way that we stand a chance at this point!! But it sure has been fun! I brought my new horse home today... the one that actually knows what western pleasure is! So next year I might actually stand a chance!
I only noticed the new place between 1st and 3rd so my reading is definately off as well. If my calculations are correct Rachel has locked up PeeWee Western Pleasure, Horsemanship and Hunt Seat so our crew is on its way to another great awards banquet.
I don't know if I got all the times recorded but here is what I have. Also I have Justin 1st in 1D for open speed.

Thanks, Joy, for keeping track of all that! Rachel has certainly done very well this show season in all the saddle clubs, so she deserves a pat on the back... or at least some birthday cake since her party is coming up!! Hope everyone that has been off has enjoyed their fall break... mine lasts all week yippeee!! I am spending a lot of time with my new horse. I am still searching for a name for him. His registered nameis Kendall's Knockout, so they called him K.O. but I really don't like that. He is a very distinguished looking gentleman, so hopefully we can come up with a fitting name for him in the next day or two! Everyone have a great rest of the week!!!
Well, we got hit again. This time they got our Halloween decorations...even the hay bales. How pathetic!! We're considering cameras. Hope you're having better luck over there.
Rachel,
That stinks! I just don't understand why kids have to be so mean!! We haven't had any more issues at the barn, but where the cows are at the end of the road - someone set a bunch of his hay on fire down there. What causes people to do such mean things?!? Hope everything else is going well for ya! We haven't seen ya in a while! But I look every day when I drive by going home!
Well for those of you who have not heard the final Gibson County Open Arena night and Saddle Club show have been cancelled due to the rains yesterday. Our summer show season is now officially over so everyone can focus on Triple P this weekend. Good Luck to everyone participating.
Marley -
I heard you came out really well at Henry. Congratulation! I know you won the two flag events but LeeAnn was telling us you also won another event and came in second in two others but she was not sure which ones. Let us know so we can all celebrate with you - unless you want to keep it a secret until the awards banquet but that would be cruel.
Have you all seen the results from Gibson County? It is all Back 9 in the Pee Wee rail events. I believe all of our kids are getting at least 2 awards which is just fantastic! LeeAnn, Annette and Justin also kicked butt in their events. We are taking home 36 awards from this one with 12 of them being 1st place, 13 2nd place and 11 3rd place. Way to go Back 9!
It was definitely Back 9 in the pee wee stuff!! I am very proud of everyone! I will post the results when I start a new thread... which I cannot do at school because my old computer here at school does not support the editing software with the blog site. We have had a great year in the saddle cub circuit!! We will have to wait until January to do our end of the year photo shoot for everyone and their ribbons since we will not have had all of the awards banquets when we have the Christmas party this year. I guess I will have to set up a day for everyone to come by and get their pictures made with all of the ribbons and awards. I think it is really cool to be able to see our successes on the website!
What a great season for Back 9!!!!!!!! Awesome and way to go everyone.
The PPP season has started and we are looking good there as well. Dottie had her barrel racing debut (since Bungie) and kicked butt. Justin didn't forget a thing and neither did she. They finished 5th in the Youth 1D and 3rd in the Open 3D. She is out of shape now but wait till next time.
Little Linda ran 2 17's on Skip. She won $27 in the youth. Way to go Linda. She will be ready for Dottie if she keeps going like this.
Sara won money in the poles and had a kick butt run in the Open. She was just a bit behind Dottie. Look out Justin!!!
The next show is in 2 weeks. Then 1 a month. Then it will be time for the saddle clubs again. I love it - no off season for us!!
