Babbles March 11 - April 29
Things have been really busy around the barn. New fencing is going up. The indoor arena is looking fabulous!! The new outdoor arena should be taking shape over the next couple of weeks. Our barn shows will be starting in just a few weeks, as will the saddle club show season. The NBHA season starts this Saturday in Mason. Then before we know it, summer will be here!!! Our 4H horse judging team is getting underway before the contest next month. This week the weather is gorgeous - highs in the 70's - which is crazy after the big snow Saturday!! I hope everyone is out there enjoying it!! Have a great one!!

Yea!!!! A new thread! We've just taken in three horses from Florida! They will board with us until their owners get up their fencing and a barn. These three horses are really neat! They come when you call them! Stop by and see our new friends!
and thanks Miss LeeAnn for a whole new page to play on
Haha. Ms. LeeAnn, call me OCD but I found an error in the coding on the News and Events page. Nothing serious but I do have an obsession of HTML. =P
"3" >< font color="#993399" size= >Monday, January 21 ,2007
I think that 3 was meant for the font size yes? Haha. BTW - I put spaces between the so that it would show up.
Hey everyone, Miss Annette became a grandmother this morning!!! No this has nothing to do with Justin!!! Dottie had her baby this morning at about 7 AM by the time we got to the barn, she had not even gotton up and was still very wet. We all got to see her take her first try at standing and nursing and she did it like a pro! Bungie is her name and she is a bay with a star and snip and a back sock just like Dottie's. So far she has let us touch on her all over and does not seem to mind. Everyone is excited, so come by and see our new treasure! Miss Annette will have to let you know what her real name is, but I know it starts with RR.
I know people are checking the site but no one is writing????
Congratulations, Ms Annette!!! I can't wait to get there to see her!!!! I bet she is gorgeous!!! And for those of you who can't get here soon, I will try to get pictures of her up on the website before the weekend is over!
Congratulations!!!! Another baby...how exciting. Can't wait to see the pictures. Love the name!
Congratulations! Im so happy that Dottie finally gave it up and everybody is doing good!
Are you guys riding anywhere this weekend?
UPDATE ON BUNGIE!! She is a boy. Miss Linda misdiagnosed her/his gender. That's ok Miss Linda, a boy will be just fine. He is georgous and Dottie is getting better about letting me play with him. As long as you pet her first!!
We just got back from the ABRA run in Memphis. As usual Justin was the last hole in the 2D. Sara had a nice run on Lucy and Tootie and Bly are still working on the 2nd barrel. All in all - it was a great day. We are going to Tunica next weekend. Wish us luck!! We will need it.
Everyone have a Happy Easter!!
Well I have to tell you, when Niki was born, it looked like he was a boy x's 2! Actually the location of his cord was very prominent. I thought it was herniated! With Bungie, we could not find anything, but it was kinda dark up there so, until we caught him relieving himself, we (Or me, I'll take the blame) thought we had a girl!!! Oh well, I these kind of mistakes happen when you get a medical license out of a cracker jacks box!! The prestigious veterinary schools are probably glad I didn't graduated from there institutions, hehe! Sorry everybody!
I forgot the most important post, Easter is a wonderful day when most of us can enjoy the promise Christ made through is resurrection. So for those of you who celebrate Easter, may the true meaning of the day touch your lives and your hearts today. Happy Easter
For those of you who just like the visit made by the big white rabbit, that's okay too!
Hey, Linda,
Is that the rabbit that you are always chasing?????? If so, maybe we should tell him if he would get outa here, you might get more done! Or at least remember what you started out talking about!!! hee hee
Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter! Spring break is here for me - yipppppppeeeeeeee!!!
Hello everyone!! I hope everyone had a great Easter.
I have two colt for sale. They are out of Peppy San and Doc Bar. The stud if Tirger strip Grey and the Filly is a bun. They both have papers. You can call me at 613-3152 anytime.
LeeAnn,
Just viewed the pictures of Kenzie....Loved Them!!! One picture is better than the next. I love the English ones as well. There are some pictures where you can see how much that pony loves her. What an awesome horse. You always find the good ones. Thanks for sharing!
Love the new pictures on the website!!!!
I am a little slow - but I try to update every once in a while!!! I usually get motivated and do several pictures at one time. But we had to put Bungie on the front page!!! And the ones I took of Mackenzie were too cute to not put somewhere! Did you see teh ones of Lysie and Linda on the "fun at the barn" page? They were really good.
LeeAnn- the pics of Kenzie are way too cute! The website looks great too, I love the pic of Linda and Skip, and Lyssie and Little B.
Thought of another thing that might help Linda with Skip @ the shows, it might be a good idea not to give him any bute that day cause it usually makes him feel REALLY good. No more than what she is ready to do right now isnt going to bother his arthritis (spelling). Just thought this might help keep him a little calmer @ the gate.
Are you guys riding anywhere this weekend and did you ride anywhere last weekend?
One more update, we have set a date and will be getting married October 18th here in Jackson. I hope you guys can make plans to attend!
I cannot believe how much Linda and Lissie have grown up! They are so beautiful. I love the pictures of them with their horses. Pictures I'm sure they will cherish for years to come. Quit "horsin" around LeeAnn and open up your photog business already!!!!!!!
We had our first clean up day at the saddle club this past weekend. I am so looking forward to the horse shows and see everyone again. I hope everyone has had a fun time off. We have been really busy around here. I know Buck is can't wait. I got him out the other day all he wanted to do is go. It was alot of fun.
Ms.Annette congratulations on the new little one. He is so cute.
LeeAnn the pictures looks great.
See ya at the show.
Cassie, congrats!!! - I want all the details as they develop!! You know we all want to be there!!!!
Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures. I love taking them. And why would I open up a business - then the pictures I take of all of our kids would not be unusual?!?!? I am so bad about taking Mackenzie to get her picture professionally taken - I haven't done it since she was about 10 months old! So I had better be taking lots of good photos of her myself!!! But I would hate the responsibility of having to take good pictures of other people's kids! I would mess them up for sure!!!
I don't guess we are riding anywhere this Saturday. The Henry County warm up show is supposed to be Sunday afternoon(depending on the rain) so we will probably take a crew there.
Last weekend, Annette, Justin, tootie and Sara went to Tunica and had a great time. Sara and Lucy missed winning $1200 by being about .04 of a second too fast! She did fabulous!
On an exciting note - ONE WEEK TIL EQUINE AFFAIRE!!!!!!!!! We can't wait!!!!
Hope everyone is staying dry in all of the rain!! have a great rest of the week and weekend!!
Tomorrow we leave for Equine Affaire and will be gone for a few days. All of us are looking forward to attending. Hope everyone stays dry down here, we checked the weather and it looks like we are taking rain with us!! The temps are expected to be in the 40's and windy and rainy. Been there with this kind of weather and it is not pleasant!! But still would not miss it for anything.
We got back around 11:00 last night. WE HAD A BLAST!!!!!!!! Everyone should try to go at least once. Lee Ann and I have new roll models. We went to several Al Dunning and Bob Avila seminars and are hooked. They were not only informative, they were funny and played off each other. I have been on Al Dunning's website all morning trying to figure out how I can take a few lessons from him. The biggest issue is that his ranch is in Arizona!!
We didn't get much sleep, ate too much junk and spent way too much money - But we had a GREAT time!! Can't wait till next year.
